📦 How to File a Shipping Claim with Parsel

At Parsel, we understand that shipping issues like loss, theft, or damage can be frustrating. That's why we've built a simple, carrier-aligned claims process to help protect your business and your customers when things go wrong.

A shipping claim is a formal request for reimbursement when a package is lost, stolen, or arrives damaged. Parsel handles this process on your behalf with the carrier, following industry-standard practices used by USPS, UPS, OnTrac, and others.

Parsel will file the claim with the carrier on your behalf and advocate for the best possible outcome. While the final decision is made by the carrier, we’re here to support you throughout the process.

Please note that either Parsel or the carrier may reach out with additional questions or request supporting documents as your claim is reviewed.

For faster resolutions and added peace of mind, customers who purchase 

 at the time of shipping are eligible for quicker payouts and full coverage of the item’s value.

To be eligible for a claim through Parsel:

Your Parsel account must be in good standing
 

The package must have been shipped through the Parsel platform
 

 must have passed since the shipment date
 

All required documentation must be submitted 

Claims must be filed for one of the following reasons:

 – Screenshot/photo of the customer's complaint
 

 – Proof of shipment with both buyer and seller listed

You can submit a claim in just a few clicks:

Once submitted, our team will review and file the claim directly with the carrier on your behalf.

Parsel will handle communication with the carrier
 

 to receive a response or resolution from the carrier

Shipping costs shown at the time of label purchase are

📦 Shipping Reconciliation: Understanding Adjustments to Your Shipping Costs

When shipping international packages, it's important to adhere to specific regulations, especially when items exceed certain values. This article will guide you through the necessary steps required for shipping packages valued over $2,499 as Parsel does not support shipments over $2,499, where in such cases you may need to head over to the respective carrier's website and use their services.

: The U.S. export regulations impose a limit of $2,500 for standard shipments. If your package exceeds this value, specific procedures must be followed.

: For items valued above $2,499, you will need to obtain an Automated Export System Internal Transaction Number (AES ITN). This is a legal requirement for international shipments.

: Fill out the necessary forms to get your ITN.

: After your application is processed, you will receive an ITN code.

Once you have acquired the ITN, you'll need to provide this code when creating your shipping label.

The ITN will be included in the shipment details to comply with regulatory requirements.

It is crucial to note that some shipping services may not be able to assist with customs documentation for items valued over $2,499. In such cases, please directly use the respective shipping providers (e.g. FedEx, UPS) by going to their website.

For instance, if you face limitations with your current shipping service (like Parsel), it may be necessary to ship directly through services like UPS for high-value items.
