Overview
Parsel Resolve Shipping Insurance offers coverage for a wide range of shipping situations. However, there are specific exclusions that are not covered under our insurance policy. Please review the following carefully to understand what is not eligible for coverage.
❌ Items Not Covered
The following items are excluded from Parsel Resolve Shipping Insurance:
- Valuables & Financial Instruments:
- Coins, bullion, loose diamonds or stones
- Jewelry and rock slabs
- Stocks, bonds, currency, deeds, evidence of debt
- Traveler’s checks, money orders, gift certificates
- Calling cards, lottery or event tickets, or any other negotiable documents
- Perishable Goods:
- Loss from delay, spoilage, or contamination of perishable items unless caused by fire
- Consigned Merchandise:
- Items shipped on consignment, memorandum, or approval, unless fulfilling a customer order
📦 Improper Packaging & Handling
Insurance does not cover:
- Packages that are insufficiently or incorrectly addressed, wrapped, or packed, or do not meet carrier requirements
- Packages with descriptive labels revealing contents (unless required by postal regulations)
- Damage considered minor, cosmetic, or typical based on the nature of the item
- Packages that were improperly packed due to missing or inadequate materials like:
- Bubble wrap
- Packing peanuts
- Crumpled paper
- Styrofoam
- Tape or mail rollers
🎁 Non-Commercial Shipments
Insurance excludes packages containing:
- Personal goods, gifts, samples, or promotional items sent by or for the insured or their employees
🌍 Restricted Destinations & Legal Violations
Shipping insurance does not apply to:
- Packages sent to prohibited countries or regions under:
- U.S. economic or trade sanctions (e.g., OFAC-restricted countries)
- Carrier or U.S. restrictions related to COVID-19 or similar outbreaks

🛡️ Excluded Causes of Loss or Damage
Coverage does not apply in the following scenarios:
- Employee Dishonesty: Loss caused by the insured or their employees
- War or Hostile Actions: Including government actions, military forces, or war-like events
- Nuclear Hazards: Loss from nuclear reaction, radiation, or contamination
- (Exception: Direct fire damage from nuclear causes may be covered)
- Government Seizure or Quarantine: Includes customs inspection, seizure, or destruction
- Illegal Shipments: Goods that are restricted or prohibited in the destination country
💰 Fees and Surcharges Not Covered
Parsel Resolve Insurance does not reimburse for:
- Shipping costs, surcharges, tariffs
- Seller or platform fees
- Processing fees or penalties
Parsel Resolve Shipping Insurance provides reimbursement up to:
- $5,000 USD per shipment
