Who Files a Shipping Claim?

Shipping claims are typically filed by the sender (also called the shipper or seller), not the recipient. Since the sender holds the shipping agreement with the carrier and has access to the necessary documentation (like proof of shipment and value), they are responsible for initiating the claim process.

If your shipment was sent through Parsel, we’ll handle the claim on your behalf. Claims may take up to 60 days for a carrier response. If you purchased Parsel Resolve (shipping insurance), you may be eligible for a faster resolution.
