How Does Parsel Benefit My Business? 📦

Start shipping and saving today! Follow these simple steps to create your Parsel account:

 Find and click the "Get Started" button to initiate your account setup.

Sign in with Google or Enter Your Email Address:

Choose to quickly sign in with your Google account or manually enter your preferred email address. You will receive a magic link in your email to log in. Parsel does not use passwords. If you get logged out, Parsel will use your email and magic link to log back in.

You will receive a verification code via SMS. Enter this code on the verification page to confirm your number.

Follow the prompts to securely link your Shopify store to Parsel. This integration enables efficient order management and tracking. This works best if you are signed into your Shopify account before attempting to connect. Not ready to connect? No worries, you'll be able to tackle this later as well. 

Add essential information including your name, company name, and business address. This information ensures accurate shipment processing and enhances your overall experience.

Navigate to the packing slips section within your account settings.

Customize your packing slip by adding your company name, return address,  contact information, website, and a personalized footer message.

Save your customized packing slip settings.

Creating a Parsel Account: 
Step-by-Step Guide 📝

Integrating your Shopify store with Parsel ensures smooth and efficient order management, providing you with real-time synchronization of orders, tracking information, and inventory updates. Follow these simple steps to connect your Shopify store to Parsel:

Enter your Shopify store URL in the format 

After entering your store URL, you’ll be redirected to Shopify.

Log into your Shopify admin account (if you're not already logged in).

 to allow Parsel to access your store data securely.

After authorization, you’ll be redirected back to Parsel.

Look for the confirmation message indicating that your Shopify store is successfully integrated.

Once connected, orders placed in Shopify will automatically appear in Parsel, ready for efficient processing, shipping, and tracking.

Ensure that your product weights, dimensions, and shipping information are up-to-date in Shopify to fully leverage Parsel’s automatic features and maintain accurate shipping rates and streamlined order processing. For international orders, please ensure Harmonized System (HS) codes, and Country of Origin are set up prior to shipping.

 Connecting Your Shopify Store to Parsel 🔗

Accurately defining your package details within Parsel simplifies your shipping workflow, ensures precise shipping rates, and enhances the speed of order processing. Once your packages are set up, Parsel can intelligently autofill these details during the shipping process, saving you valuable time.

Click on the type of packing you wish to add.

: Select from available types such as Box, Envelope, or Poly Mailer to ensure compatibility with carriers.

: Create an easily identifiable name for your package (e.g., "Small Box", "Medium Poly Mailer", "Large Flat Rate").

: Accurately enter the length, width, and height of your package (measurements should be in inches).

: Input the package's empty weight accurately in ounces. Parsel uses this to calculate accurate shipping costs. Please note, this is the weight of the package, not the weight of the product.

For the best results, add all packaging options your business frequently uses. This helps streamline your workflow significantly. Need to add something later? No worriers, you can always return to settings and add more packages as needed.

Regularly update your packaging information in Parsel, especially if you change packaging suppliers or modify your packaging dimensions. Accurate package setup is essential for optimizing your shipping processes.

Choose between Credit Card, Google Pay, or a US bank account

If you have multiple payment methods added, choose your preferred option and mark it as your

Adding an Additional User 👥 

Clearly defining your service levels (shipping methods) allows you to efficiently manage shipping preferences and provide consistent service to your customers. Follow these steps if you wish to set up service levels. 

Service levels are optional and should be used with caution. If you chose to set up shipping levels, Parsel will follow those and may hide the best shipping rate, however you can manually override to another shipping option. If you do not set up shipping methods, Parsel will default to the cheapest shipping option when fulfilling orders.

When shipping internationally through Parsel, 

every item in your order must have a dollar value

 — even if it’s a replacement, free gift, giveaway, or promotional item. This is because 

customs authorities require a declared value for all imported goods in order to apply the appropriate taxes or duties.

 through Parsel, since a valid customs form can’t be generated without a value.

Customs officials need to assign a taxable value to every item entering their country — even if it was given away for free.

The customs form will not generate properly.

Your shipment may be rejected, held, or delayed.

✅ How to Handle Free Items on International Orders

If you're offering free or promotional items internationally, here’s how to properly set up your orders:

Never leave a product price at $0.00 for international shipments.

If you are using Parsel for manual shipments, follow these simple steps:

After adding the details, you’ll be able to choose from a list of available carriers and service levels. The system will automatically select the most affordable shipping option for you.

Note: If you haven’t set up your billing yet, ensure to do that before purchasing a label.
